MTK Islam Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MTK Islam handles information when you use our Quran, prayer, dua and Islamic companion application.
Information used by the app
- Location. With your permission, the app uses your approximate or precise location to calculate prayer times, show Qibla direction and find nearby mosques. You may instead choose a city manually. When these online features are used, the required city or coordinates may be sent directly to the relevant prayer-time or map service.
- Microphone. Voice search uses your device's speech-recognition service only after you grant microphone permission. MTK Islam does not record or store microphone audio.
- Google sign-in and cloud sync. If you choose to sign in with Google and set up encrypted sync, we use your Google identity information to authenticate your account. Your notes, bookmarks, reading position, Khatam plan, Tasbeeh data and selected settings are encrypted on your device before cloud synchronisation. MTKSoft Labs cannot read the encrypted content without your recovery secret.
- Device and service data. We process the minimum technical information needed to keep a signed-in device authorised, protect the service, and deliver requested content. Quran reading, search, saved content and downloaded audio work locally on your device whenever possible.
- Audio downloads. When you download recitation audio, your device connects to the selected audio delivery service to retrieve the files you request.
Third-party services
Depending on the feature you use, information may be processed by Google (sign-in, device speech services, Google Maps directions and Google Play), AlAdhan prayer-time services, OpenStreetMap/Overpass-based nearby-mosque services, XAUS spot-price services, and Quran audio delivery services. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies.
What we do not do
MTK Islam does not sell personal information. The app does not include third-party advertising or advertising profiling. We do not use your Quran reading, dua, note, bookmark or Tasbeeh content for advertising.
Retention and your choices
You can deny location or microphone permission and continue using the features that do not need them. Locally saved information remains on your device until you remove it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. If you enable encrypted cloud sync, you may request deletion of your cloud-sync data and account-related information by emailing us from the address associated with your Google sign-in. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Email contact@mtksoftlabs.com with the subject “MTK Islam deletion request”. Tell us whether you want cloud-sync data deleted or your account-related data deleted. Do not include your recovery secret in the email.
Children
MTK Islam is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes and contact
